I have this negative bias towards positive feedback. And no, it is not becasue of reading too much Masadi.

... Just that in the world of engineering systems, positive feedback is often highly destabilizing.

As a daughter of an Electrical engineer, may I say, there is no end to positivity.

Write a negative thing and you attract a positive response!

Magnets!

I was missing the frequency of your ilogs and comments on chowk only to find that you've made a world of yourself. Its really good, this site where you are presenting your thoughts and ideas in a more diverse fashion.

Keep up the good work!
Cheers!

The bench was really nice. For some reason a bench in the solitary, vast park/garden attracts me so much.

Hi Ayesha. Thanks. I have this thing for break ups - I feel that if two people break up and move on, they should allow the other to be happy elsewhere, provided they were not cheating on them with that very same person while being together. That is a breach of trust, and the victimised person has a right to scream and shout - But if two people split up before finding new partners, and move on to different lives, if in the far future one does find another partner, the first should not grudge it.

They ended it themselves, so why fret about it at a later date?

That is what THE BENCH is all about, it's a platform for reconciliation and acceptance.

Thankyou for the comment.

"Cigarette" was amazing!

*Sigh* triangels are bad :-)

It was based on a play I once saw - I modified the plot a bit.

Hey Ayesha, also note in 'cigarette' that SHE never really says that SHE loved HIM. Just that they were friends - Its an open question - What was stronger? Friendship or love? Or did SHE feel both? Now that sounds like a soap in the making!

I think you can't keep the two seperate. Yeah if the soap is in the making let me add a (cheesy) line from the bollywood flick. Pyaar dosti hai :-) Well, personally I don't believe in a boy girl (just friendship)... another line from the bollywood flick, Prem, ek ladka aur ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte They could be friends indeed but in my view it should culminate into something meaningful. Am I too conventional? :-S

Besides I believe a husband and wife should first be good friends to have that comfort zone. Parents should be friends with kids after certain age. Siblings should be friends... when I was nine my sis asked me to be her friend. She had startled me. I understood it's importance years later :-)

You, my friend, are a very sensitive, very sensible person. I like the line from the movie though, very cheesy :P ...BUT, fact remains, being conventional has its advantages...No harm in it.
Parents and kids, siblings, cousins, any blood relation should be friends first, because usually blood ties ensure a sense of trust and security that other relations, even marriage cannot guarantee. That is a sad but tried and tested reality.

Honesty is always the best policy - the more you lie, its your own credibility that you really lose - And the trust of the one you lied to!

The Delivery was very touchy. It's a moment every woman look forward to no matter whatever she goes through in the process.
See how brave a woman is...
