I now have no pets, but I've had a lot!! Dogs, chipmunks, raccoon's, porcupines, coyote, alligator, fish, even a rat! I loved training them especially. No didn't train the alligator, but training fish was a new experience!!

I heard from someone that having pets can improve one's emotional health and it can reduce one's tension and depression. I like only the bird pets and fish but my careless nature doesn't allow me to keep them for long. It has not been long since we (the roomates) freed a pair of the Australian parrots that we kept for about 4 months, on the day when we were going home for the eid vacations. I was too lasy to change water on a regular basis for a pair of fish that we kept in an equarium in our room. We finally left the fish in a pond to get rid of the responsibility.. :-P

No matter how many ideals and characters you have in your own special place in your mind - you still must never lose the human touch - Maybe that is why most people who live alone or lead secluded lives enjoy having pets as company.

Hi - How did you train the fish - I had a huge Alsatian, black and brown dog called jimmy when I was 2 - He dies at age 12 I think - great big lazy old thing - My fist pet.

Hi Aadil. Recently we found an injured baby bird and brought it home, kept it for two days, it died in my hand - I tried to save it, but the injured leg did not heal - It couldnt eat properly either - Maybe if you want pets, get older and trained ones with proper instructions to care for them - Otherwise, it breaks your heart if they die like that.

I like pets but I am not in favor of keeping any at this stage. I had a pet parrot, typical asian, green color parrot. He was wild and remained so till the end. I had to set him free.
But I had fantastic pet almost eight years ago. It was "teeter" (Urdu word) (I think it's called partridge)It was so friendly when we would come back home he would coming running towards us and would roll and rub himself in our feet :-)
He was quite tough. He would sit on the highest naked branch in the winter months... and wouldn't be bother by rain or drizzle. I would hold him in my hands, he was so fantastic. In the end we gave him to our maid, an act that I regret till date. We had grown fresh grass in the lawn and he would pluck it. Instead of caging him we gave him away :-S
I still miss him... I am calling him "him"... because he had no name... I'd gave him name today right here... Teetu :-)
